Matthew 4:1-11
THE TEMPTATION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Genesis 22:1-5; 6-18
THE TEMPTATION/TESTING OF ABRAHAM.
Anytime examination comes, get ready for promotion, if you pass.
In the Book of Daniel, (Daniel 3:1-19), God wanted to promote the three Hebrew children, so He presented them for examination. In Daniel 3:28-30; you will find out that they were promoted.
In Daniel, Chapter 6, you'll find out that Daniel was to be promoted so God set an examination for Daniel which was not a group examination but a singular examination, for Daniel had an excellent spirit.
PROMOTION IS NOT TITLES; BUT SPIRITUAL PROMOTION
You can be an assistant pastor by title, but in the sight of God, you could be higher than a state pastor e.g. It was an assistant pastor in Hong Kong, and another in the Netherlands that God used to get lame people to work.
YOU MUST BE TESTED
Isaiah 43:2
2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (KJV)
It says when you pass and not if. It is only a matter of time.
Malachi 3:3-4
3. And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. (KJV)
God will purify you by fire, so that you can be promoted and your ministry will be accepted by Him.
Zecharaiah 13:8-9 and Amos 3:3
God said that before you can say you are My people, you must go through fire for purification. God will purify you.
The exam is coming. It will separate the wheat from the chaff. We must change. If we don't change easily, it will be by force.
2 Corinthians 3:18
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (KJV)
Take a look at yourself in the mirror and take a look at the glory of God, and see the difference between you and God's glory.
The mirror always says the truth:
Psalm 119:9, 105, 130 and John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your Word Your word is truth.
Study the word and know where you are failing.
Ask yourself the following questions:
Am I holy? Am I doing the will of God? Am I praying, as I ought to? Am I fulfilling the purpose for which I have been called? Check the word of God!
If God knows that you are getting too fat and He loves you, He will purge you. God will have you remember that we are pilgrims here. The purpose of a bridge is to help you to cross over and not to build a house on. We are on a journey, we must keep marching on!
The mirror (the Word), will show you the defects, but it will be up to you to do what you should do to correct your appearance and state or you can ignore the mirror or even break the mirror. Even if you smash the mirror, there are other mirrors.
If you are going to finally sit examinations and pass, the Bible says that you adjust immediately. The best time to adjust a defect is right in front of the mirror See James 1:23-25.
If you love yourself, every area the WORD has exposed to you, the restitution must be done immediately - now!
Before preaching a sermon, examine yourself, to find out if you are free from the things you are about to preach.
We are all going to do one final examination for everyone:
2 Corinthians 5:9-11
We labour to be accepted of Him.
Knowing the terror of God, we persuade men.
God's videos record audio, pictures and thoughts.
The Day of Judgment will be the day of terror!
Your work will be tested by fire - to reveal the motives behind them!!
See I Corinthians 3:13-15
