Below you can find more information about our Church
It was in the late 1959 that God began to show visions to the Founder Apostle Dr Francis Jinoti Moyo. In 1974 his gift of prophesy was confirmed. God spoke to him about the need to establish wide, a Zionist Church which is General Foundation Apostolic Church in Christ. In 1980 he tried to establish a church at home in Mzaza, Plumtree but it was not very successful. He then managed to convert Honourable second Apostle Bishop Michael Ndlovu who later joined him in Bulawayo and few others. The Church was finally established in 1981 when he visited suburb called Matsha Mlophe in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The first people he met were Mr Mpunzi, Mkandla, Rev Sikwangula Dube, Mr Banda and Mrs Mabhena. They agreed to form a church firstly at Matsha Mhlophe, and then moved to Hillside camp but they were not successful. Finally in 1983 the first branch was established in Greenhill which was later led by Finias Sibanda. The word of the almighty grew very fast and a second and third branch were formed in Queens Park and White City led by Bishop Sibanda and Pastor Alexander Moyo respectively. It will be not fair not to mention the key influential members who tirelessly worked for the establishment of the congregation and its structure. Namely the late Rev Finias Sibanda, Rev Sikwangula Dube,Second Apostle Bishop Michael Ndlovu, Bishop Dickson Sibanda, Dickson Mhlaba, the late Rev Alexander Moyo, Gogo Mathebula,Rev Nicholas Moyo, Nkosenkulu and finally Rev Reginald Mhlanga whom he met in Harare late 1983. Harare branch was then established in late 1987.We thank also Bishop Jeremiah Toteng whom he met in Botswana in 1985 and he worked very hard to establish Botswana region. In 1984 they agreed to establish the Head Quarters of General Foundation Apostolic Church in Christ at Mzaza Communal Lands, approximately 50Km south of Plumtree, in Zimbabwe. A steering committee was formed, led by Pastor Alexander Moyo. This committee worked very hard to build the first structure of the G.F.A.C.C Head Quarters. Since that time the G.F.A.C.C has continued to grow. By the help of the Holy Spirit the Church of the GFACC has spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and Canada coming soon. The Church now has a strong congregation in excess of 10 000 brethren existing in more than 108 congregational branches which are led by 120 Pastors. We thank all the members for supporting their church. The regions were established as follows; - Zimbabwe established 1983 currently has 53 Branches - Botswana established 1985 currently has 18 Branches - South Africa established 1989 currently has 16 Branches - United kingdom established late 2001 currently has 8 Branches - Republic of Ireland established early 2004 currently has 1 Branch
Is to carry out the works of Mercy and charity among people so that Christ Himself when he Returns will find a spiritually cultured people (Luke 12 vs 35-40).
The lord Jesus Christ, before he was taken up to heaven commissioned his Apostles to go out to the people to preach the Good News so that whoever accepts the word and believes is to receive baptism of water and the Holy Spirit and those that have repented of their sins were to become the disciples.
Our church teaches the full Doctrine of Christ which is the Doctrine of Repentance and attainment of everlasting life. We do this by reading the Holy Scriptures as contained in the Old and New testaments and share his knowledge with all Men regardless of race or creed, so that believers are baptized and brought to the presence of the Glory of God. The church shares the Joy of those married and those that bring forth sons and daughters of this world and also shares the burdens suffered by the bereaved, sick, the destitute, the outcast, widows and orphans.
